Med andra ögon
30/1–1/2 2026
Curator: Johan Lundin
In this exhibition, Christina Rosenlöf returns to images from her archive. By revisiting them and placing them in a new context, they emerge with other eyes. The exhibition revolves around abstraction, blur, and motifs drawn from nature, exploring the possibilities of photography beyond the documentary through both historical photographic techniques and graphic craftsmanship. Her images are not digitally edited, but shaped through manual and historical processes that give each work its own state and rhythm. The title Med andra ögon can be seen as a reminder of how our relationship to time, memory, and perception changes, and how it is sometimes valuable to reconsider what we see.

Welcome to my photographs, gathered from boxes and folders. After looking at them again and reflecting on them, I selected those that now hang on the walls of Galleri CC. I feel that I see them with new eyes, which is also the title of my small exhibition over the weekend. I have always been fascinated by abstract motifs, varying degrees of blur, and the forms of nature. My images are created using pinhole cameras, sheet film, and older medium-format cameras, and I further process the negatives through polymer gravure, gum printing, Polaroid transfers, alternative photographic processes, and hand-coloured black-and-white prints. These techniques are old, manual, and often time-consuming, but it is precisely this that gives each image its own distinct character. It felt important to revisit my archives at this moment. A few years ago I was involved in a serious accident and spent a long time in hospital, and although I have recovered, life has been different since then. The title With Other Eyes can also be read in light of this experience. From time to time, we all need to pause, look back, and reflect.
