Lotten Pålsson
Another Cargo Coming
21/8 – 20/9 2026

Curator: Bahareh Mirhadinezhadfard

The exhibition Another Cargo Coming is inspired by the diary of Lotten Pålsson’s grandfather, which he kept while at sea. The diary entries portray an increasingly fragmented state of mind, in which weather and colours reflect and intensify his experience. Using the diary as a starting point, Lotten creates an imaginary conversation with her grandfather, in which her father also takes part.

On deck a halting form of communication unfolds, and when words are no longer enough, communication is established through actions, an exploration of the boundaries of body, mind, and spirit.

Weaving together storytelling, drawing, and installation, the exhibition moves between the personal and the universal, between language and silence. The sea becomes both a tangible place and an image of the unknown, a space where boundaries are tested and dissolved.

Lotten Pålssons practice is guided by perception, sequences of events, and intuition. She collects objects and words, draws, photographs, and, much like poetic language, investigates the tension and rhythm that emerge within and between materials and objects.

She has a BA from the School of Photography, Gothenburg. Exhibitions includes Landskrona museum, Röstånga Konsthall, Karlshamns Konsthall, and Åstorps Konsthall.
