By offering a drop-in court, Westerlund creates a temporary yet charged microcosm in which participants are directly confronted with the idea of being judged. This is not merely a symbolic gesture; it is a direct experience of how social and institutional structures manifest themselves and how we relate to them. By stepping into the provisional courtroom made of plastic bags and submitting to a swift judgment, participants experiment with their own role within a system.

The courtroom is painted as an illusion on transparent plastic bags hanging from the ceiling. This materiality contrasts with the seriousness of the institution the court represents, enhancing the work’s playful yet thought-provoking character.

Both Levande Skulpturparken and 10 Judgments function as experimental interventions in everyday life. They demonstrate how individuals and groups can begin to shape their surroundings, physically, socially, and institutionally, rather than merely accepting them.
