Rodeina Fouad, Tamara De Laval
Anomaly
16/7–2/8 2025
Curator: Johan Lundin
Welcome to the vernissage for the exhibition Anomaly, a collaborative project between Swedish artist Tamara de Laval and Egyptian artist Rodeina Fouad. This exhibition was born from their distinct cultural perspectives and a shared commitment to highlighting urgent global issues. It reflects their exploration of the chaotic, unpredictable forces shaping our world—climate crises, conflicts, the destruction of nature, and the struggle for women's rights.
Rodeina Fouad is a visual artist and curator based in Cairo, Egypt. Through imagining different worlds, she questions human nature.
Tamara De Laval is based in Malmö. The importance of opening space for uncertainty and unpredictability is crucial in her painting. Through graphite drawing and painting, she builds a world of images that encompass life experiences, ongoing conflicts around the world, and a strong feminist conviction.
With support from IASPIS.
