Galleri CC presents the group exhibition Seen, featuring 6 artists working with video: Saif Alsaeghs video work deals with the contrast between the landscape of his youth in Baghdad growing up as part of the Chaldean minority in the nineties and early 2000s, and the U.S. landscape where he currently lives. Nicklas Lundbergs practice is centered around sculptural sound works, often with kinetic and interactive elements. His central themes which he problematise are normality and classification, which he approaches with a primitivistic work ethos and an activist mindset. Sophia Ioannou Gjerding & Nina Møller examines how image production affects us both culturally and politically. A key element in the work is a study of the discourses that exist in new image technology such as CGI (computer generated imagery). Alberte Skronskis videos and installations are like children’s TV for adults. The videos attain the same sense of wonder and happiness one would experience watching cartoons on Saturday morning as a child, losing yourself completely in a world where everything is possible. Zhou Yinglin combines time-based media and digital virtual technologies. Her recent work focuses on intercultural related areas, including cultural identity, non-mainstream culture and language.
zhouyinglin.com Lili Zanetas video work reside in everyday life and human emotions. With an intention to ease the viewers, to give them a few minutes to relax and feel their surroundings and connect with senses neglected in our high-paced modern society.
