For All The Wrong Reasons är ett experimentellt och lekfullt närmande till det så omåttligt brukade & missbrukade men även avgudade pop-kultur-ämnet; Love Being a Loosing Game eller som vi säger på svenska; Kärlek Är För Förlorare. Genom att experimentera med olika material såsom readymades, fotografi, ljus och ljud, arbetar Sofia Wickman med rummet och det narrativa. I galleriets lokaler skapas tre olika installationer med målet att visualisera upplevelse och sinnestillstånd.
Sofia Wickman (b. 1978, Malmö, Sweden) är en svensk tvärvetenskaplig audiovisuella konstnär. År 2012 mottog hon en kandidatexamen i audiovisuell konst från Gerrit Rietveld Academie 2012. Har en bakgrund i konsthistoria vid Lunds Universitet. Var projektledare och curator tillsammans med Julia Zajac för det visionära konst och musikprojektet: FUTURE LEGENDS (2014-2015) som framfördes på Palladium Malmö. Har visat olika videoverk i bl.a. Storbritannien, USA, Italien och Nederländerna. Deltagit i olika grupputställningar bl.a. i USA och Europa. Sedan 2013 gav Wickman sin första soloutställning i Amsterdam på det nomadiska galleriet The Office. Är sedan 2015 en del av Galleri CC kommittén. Wickman arbete inspireras av mänskliga relationer, kärlek, förlust och längtan. Förhållandet mellan minne och tid, platser och människor, nostalgiska tendenser, svensk melankoli och mänsklighetens motsägelsefullhet.

For All The Wrong Reasons is an experimental and playful approach to the massively used & abused and also adored pop-culture-topic; Love Being a Loosing Game . Experimenting with various media such as readymades, photography, light and sound, Sofia Wickman works with space and narratives creating three different installations in the facilities of the gallery with the attempt to visualize experiences and state of mind.
Sofia Wickman (b. 1978, Malmö, Sweden) is a Swedish multi-disciplinary audiovisual artist. She obtained a BA in Audio Visual Media at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie 2012. Has a background in Art History from the University of Lund. In 2014-2015 she was part of the leading project manager and curator team for the visionary art and music project: FUTURE LEGENDS. Has screened in the UK, US, Italy and the Netherlands. Exhibited in various group shows in the US and Europe including her first solo in Amsterdam at the nomadic gallery The Office in 2013. Is currently part of the Galleri CC committee since 2015. Wickman's work is inspired by human relations, love, loss and longing. The relationship between memory and time, places and people, nostalgic tendencies, Swedish melancholy and the contradictory nature of mankind.
