Karl’s practice exists in a range of different mediums such as: drawing, sculpture, installation,
environmental work, photography and video. It is rooted in performance as a research tool and point of departure. He strives to remain balanced between a quixotic faith in subjective imagination and the methodological rigour of research based art. Possibly a sleeping logician himself, the artist says of this method: I try to work with my head in the clouds while the feet stay firmly on the ground.
